• Work as an integral member of small, cross-functional research teams
  • Design and execute experiments to evaluate technologies, hardware, and other aspects of a given project
  • Construct experimental rigs to approximate the final form of prototype designs
  • Work with the team to create hardware proofs of concept
  • Collect and perform initial analysis of experimental data


  • Education/Experience:
    • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
    • OR at least 3 years of experience in related field
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
  • Strong sense of curiosity
  • Prior hands-on experience with either electrical or mechanical systems
  • Must be a highly responsible individual who can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Well-grounded with the ability to prioritize, multitask and independently problem solve


  • Prior experience with robotic or electromechanical systems
  • Experience with the scientific method and practical experimentation
  • Scripting experience (e.g. Bash or Python)
  • Linux experience
