As a Software Engineer (Robotics) at PickNik Consulting you’ll be developing software applications, creating user interfaces, optimizing algorithms, and integrating solutions for our clients, internal products, and flagship open source projects. Responsibilities will include developing software in a variety of languages and platforms that will be used on robots around the world (and in outer space!). You’ll need to readily make decisions relating to software design and implementation.

Senior Software Engineer – Robotics

As a Senior Software Engineer at PickNik Consulting you’ll be developing large software applications, optimizing advanced algorithms, and integrating solutions for our clients, internal products, and flagship open source frameworks. Duties will include architecting and developing software in several languages and platforms that will be used on robots around the world (and in outer space!). You’ll need to readily make decisions relating to framework design and implementation, while mentoring team members to produce higher quality code.

Applied Robotics Scientist

PRINCIPAL TECHNICAL SPECIALIST – SR. TECHNICAL SPECIALIST – ASTRONOMY COMPUTER SYSTEMS -BOULDER, COLORADO

Join our Space Science and Engineering Division! Be part of a team that proactively maintains and develops Linux infrastructure to support a 24x7x365 uptime service that includes research scientists and science and mission operations for various NASA spacecraft missions. Will be responsible for the engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs. Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments and fault finding and analysis of logging information for reporting of performance exceptions. Proactively monitor system performance and capacity. Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, and hot fixes on servers in production and dev/test environments. Create and modify scripts to perform tasks. Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the computing environment. Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes. Maintain and configure best security practices including resolving security issues. Support and actively participate in audit activities. Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the Institute. Collaborate with others to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
