Technical Program Manager – Autonomy / Robotics

We are looking for technical program managers who will coordinate and support our engineering teams to ship our self-driving vehicles and software to our end-users. You will work with peers who cumulatively have decades of experience from places like Google X, SpaceX, iRobot, Rethink Robotics, Draper Laboratories, Zipcar, and have built self-driving vehicles, electric vehicles, manufacturing robots, surgical robots, autonomous drones, and more.

Hardware Engineering Program Manager

The Engineering Program Management Team at Ike acts as the company’s internal “glue” by communicating and coordinating across all teams including software, systems, and hardware engineering, product, operations, and business to drive multiple complex, cross-functional initiatives from conception to successful delivery.

Program Manager

As an Program Manager, your principal work assignments will involve various tasks and jobs associated with managing the on-going customer programs we are under contract for or are competing for.

Formulating, organizing, and monitoring stand-alone and inter-connected projects will be par for the course. Deciding on suitable strategies and objectives, coordinating cross-project activities, and helping to organize project schedules, budgets, progress reporting are key responsibilities as is overseeing the progress of operations.

Example programs include supporting Urban Air Mobility (UAM) customers and our deliverables for those programs; DoD-funded autonomous vehicle (air, sea, and land) programs, and civil UAS customers (e.g. utility infrastructure support using UAS, firefighting efforts, etc).

The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and will have experience in managing staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner. They will also be able to develop efficient strategies and tactics.

You will be part of a focused team of engineers based in the Boston area working on a number of rapid-paced, high-energy programs. In short, you will be at the center of making the products a reality.

Project Manager – Engineering

Engineering Project Manager’s involvement begins in the sales cycle. This may involve estimating, solicitation of subcontractor proposals, assistance in presentations, review of proposed contracts, project scheduling and systems design. As the sales process transitions into the implementation phase, the PM takes on increasing responsibility for understanding and controlling Bastian’s risk from technical, contractual, cash flow, and organizational standpoint. This may involve estimating, solicitation and selection of subcontractor proposals, assistance in presentations, defining project implementation timeline, review of contracts, and systems design. The Project Manager will stay involved and travel to the customer site throughout the installation, go-live and acceptance process ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining the project budget and timeline.

Program Manager – Autonomous Vehicles

The Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Program Manager is responsible for leading the team that is creating the best autonomous vehicle software in the world (Navigation, Fleet, Middleware). This position is both strategic and tactical. Strategically this person has a large role in guiding the AV initiatives for Bastian Solutions as well as the larger Toyota family of companies. Tactically, this position manages a software development staff for standard software, custom software, as well as research and development. As the Program Manager this position also oversees multiple AV projects occurring simultaneously. This position is responsible for anticipating new software technologies and ensuring that Bastian Autonomous Vehicles (BAV) is a leader in the industry and well positioned to take advantage of shifting market trends.

Robotics Software Project Manager

This is a newly created role to support our rapidly growing robotics division. You will lead several new product development software projects and be the Agile SME for the robotics division and possibly other areas of the organization.
